EIILM-Kolkata Strengthens Ties with CBS International Business School, Germany

August 28, 2025: Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM), Kolkata, has taken a significant step towards global academic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CBS International Business School, Germany. CBS, one of Europe’s leading business schools, is accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). The partnership is designed to enhance international exposure and academic excellence for students and faculty alike. Under the agreement, both institutions will engage in a wide range of initiatives, including executive training, student study abroad opportunities, joint research projects, faculty and publication exchange, and international immersion programs. Speaking on the collaboration, EIILM officials expressed confidence that this tie-up will not only enrich academic practices but also prepare students for global leadership roles. The MoU marks a milestone in EIILM’s vision to create a dynamic learning environment that bridges Indian and European academic strengths.

EIILM-Kolkata’s Towards Life Foundation Inaugurates Ultadanga Centre with Free Eye Check-Up Camp

August 12, 2025: Towards Life Foundation (TLF), the socio-environmental initiative of EIILM-Kolkata, marked a new milestone with the inauguration of its Ultadanga centre, accompanied by a free eye check-up camp in association with Susrut Eye Foundation & Research Centre. The initiative reflects TLF’s continued focus on accessible healthcare and holistic community development.

Unlike conventional CSR projects, TLF is deeply integrated into EIILM-Kolkata’s academic framework, with students contributing as active changemakers. Each student dedicates 20 hours to teaching spoken English to underprivileged children — a first-of-its-kind initiative by a private educational institute in Kolkata. The foundation’s work extends beyond education to areas like child nutrition, health, and co-curricular activities under its mission “Prana Dipti – The Glowing Vital,” aimed at restoring dignity and opportunity to children from marginalized urban communities.

The day-long eye camp offered vision and color tests, AI-assisted fundus photography, BP and blood sugar checks for those above 50, free spectacles, subsidized cataract surgery scheduling, and consultations in specialized fields such as retina, glaucoma, and paediatric eye care. A structured patient flow ensured smooth service from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Prof. (Dr.) R. P. Banerjee emphasized that TLF’s work stems from solidarity, not charity, while CEO Mrs. Sipra Banerjee called the new centre a reaffirmation of commitment to the community. Since its inception in 2006, TLF has impacted hundreds of lives across Kolkata’s underserved areas. The new Ultadanga centre promises to deepen its reach, keeping alive its guiding vision: “Let’s wipe off all tears from the dimming eyes.”

EIILM-Kolkata Students Explore Thai Hospitality in International Study Tour

May 6, 2025: The School of Hotel & Hospitality Management at EIILM-Kolkata recently organized an international study tour to Thailand, offering 107 students a unique blend of education and adventure. The tour was designed to provide hands-on exposure to global hospitality standards while immersing students in the rich culture and traditions of Thailand. During the tour, students engaged in a series of workshops focusing on Thai cuisine and restaurant etiquette. They also received valuable insights from industry experts and hospitality leaders through interactive sessions that enhanced their practical knowledge and professional skills.

The itinerary combined learning with exploration, including visits to Coral Island, Safari World, and Marine Park—destinations that showcased the vibrancy of Thai tourism. These experiences not only broadened the students’ global perspective but also helped them build interpersonal skills vital for careers in hospitality management.

December 31, 2024: The Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM)-Kolkata hosted its much-anticipated annual academio-cultural extravaganza, Apavrinu Vayam 4, at the picturesque Taal Kutir, Taj Hotels, Ecopark. Conceived by EIILM-Kolkata’s Chairman and Director, Prof. (Dr.) R.P. Banerjee, Apavrinu Vayam is a unique platform that celebrates the intellectual and cultural prowess of students at the UG and PG levels. The event’s theme, centered on collectivism and harmony, resonated deeply with the vibrant activities and performances throughout the day.

A perfect blend of academic and cultural events, the fest featured intellectually stimulating deliberations by students before a distinguished panel of industry experts, fostering critical thinking and innovation. EIILM-Kolkata Partners with AICPA & CIMA to Offer Premier Finance Programs

May 21, 2024: In a significant step towards enhancing industry collaboration and academic excellence, EIILM-Kolkata has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in London. The landmark agreement was formalized by Prof. (Dr.) R.P. Banerjee, Chairman & Director of EIILM-Kolkata, and Mr. Paul Turner, AICPA's Regional Vice President for the UK & Ireland.

This MoU will enable the introduction of a variety of courses, Management Development Programs (MDPs), and workshops, including the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) Finance Leadership Program. The CGMA credential is recognized as the premier qualification for corporate professionals aiming to excel in management accounting.

EIILM - Kolkata's Asian Integration Initiative Series: Fostering Border-less Unity in Malaysia

January 18, 2024: The 5th edition of the Asian Integration Initiative Series of Borderless Asia was successfully organised in Malaysia by EIILM-Kolkata, a significant gathering of minds and aspirations. The esteemed Hotel Pullman, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, hosted the International Conference on "Trans Asian Integration of Industry, Business and Commerce" on January 6, 2024. A gathering of more than one hundred delegates from twelve countries—Cambodia, Mongolia, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia, and India—came together to exchange ideas for a single, "borderless" Asia.

The ceremony gained diplomatic significance when Her Excellency, the Honourable Deputy High Commissioner of India to Malaysia, Ms. Subhashini Narayanan, graced the occasion.
