UPESMET 2023 registration for phase 2 has begun online. Candidates can register in online mode only. Authorities have announced the UPESMET 2023 exam dates on the official website. Soon after the exam is conducted, candidates will be able to book slots for a personal interview online. The final result for admission will be announced after the interview round.

What is UPESMET 2023?

UPESMET is a common entrance exam, conducted by UPES, Dehradun for admission to its MBA programmes. UPES offers unique industry-focused graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public Policy, and Legal studies. UPESMET is conducted multiple times a year. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year the exam was conducted only in online proctored mode. This year, too, it is being conducted in online proctored mode.

UPESMET Application form

UPESMET 2023 application must be filled out online. Interested candidates can fill the application form for the online entrance exam within the stipulated time, as mentioned in the official notification.

UPESMET Eligibility Criteria

Know the eligibility criteria for UPSEMET 2023 below:

  • Candidates should be graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks from a recognised University

  • Candidates must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate

  • Candidates in their final year of qualifying exam are also eligible for UPESMET provided they can present the passing certificate by the time of admissions

  •  Candidates who have MAT, CMAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC and GMAT scores of either the same or previous year, are exempted from taking the UPESMET exam

Non-Examination Pathway for PG admission

Admission is offered based on national-level management entrance exams – CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. Up to 50 per cent of the seats are filled through the non-examination pathway category students. The minimum percentile required for entry to the non-exam pathway has been listed below:

  • MAT score of minimum 80 percentile
  • CMAT 2023 score of minimum 80 percentile
  • XAT 2023/CAT 2022 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • NMAT 2023 score of minimum 140
  • GMAT Scores

 Note: 30 per cent of the seats are filled through the national level entrance tests. In case such seats are vacant, then UPES will fill those seats through UPESMET.

Reservation of Seats 

  • 15 per cent seats in all programmes are reserved for the candidates belonging to the state of Uttarakhand 
  •  Such candidates need to provide 'Sthai Niwas Praman Patra' certificate
  • However, if these seats remain unfilled in the category then it will be treated as unreserved

UPESMET Admit Card 2023

Admit card is one of the important documents that has to be carried on the day of examination. UPESMET 2022 admit card will not be released as the exams are being held in online proctored mode. Candidates who will register for the UPESMET exam will be sent the confirmation mail on their registered email address or mobile number. Candidates will be required to appear for the examination on the slot chosen by them.

UPESMET results for UG and PG programmes are declared online. The candidates can check their results on the official UPES website by using their login credentials. A merit list is released containing the name of candidates selected for the GD/PI round. Final admission is based on the candidate’s overall performance in the selection process.
