What is Jain Entrance Test (JET)?

Jain Entrance Test or JET 2023 is an online (earlier offline) entrance exam conducted by Jain University for admission to its various Undergraduate Technical courses (BTech). Jain University is a private university situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. Admission to all courses at Jain University is based on merit cum rank obtained by candidates in JET 2023.

JET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Jain University has set prescribed eligibility criteria for candidates seeking admission into the BTech courses offered at the University through JET Entrance Exam. Candidates must comply with the set GET eligibility criteria to be able to apply for admissions. Take a look at the detailed JET 2023 eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates who have passed 12th/PUC or ISC/CBSE or equivalent board with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Biology.
  • Candidates applying for admission through JET should have a minimum aggregate of 60%
  • 5% relaxation in the minimum percentage is given for SC/ST candidates.
  • Cambridge students applying for admissions at Jain University must have 3 subjects at ‘A’ Level including Physics, Chemistry & mathematics
  • Candidates who have completed class 12 or equivalent exams or final year students of class 12 or candidates with their results awaited can also apply for admissions through JET.
  • NIOS candidates are also eligible to apply for Jain Entrance Test

JET 2023: Admission Process

STEP 1: JET 2023 Registration/ Filling online application form

The first step towards appearing in the Jain University entrance exam 2023 is filling out the online JET application form. Candidates are required to register for the exam online on the official website of Jain University. To register for the exam, candidates need to follow a few simple steps which include:

  • Fill out the online application form of JET
  • Uploading scanned images
  • Paying the JET 2023 application fee
  • Print at least four printouts of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee

STEP 2: JET Admit cards

Jain University, the conducting authority of the exam, will release JET admit cards on the official website of the university. JET admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried to the exam centre. Candidates who do not carry the exam hall ticket issued by the agency will not be allowed to write the exam under any circumstances.

STEP 3: Appear for the JET 2023 exam

JET 2023 will be conducted on June 23 and 24 for BTech admission. Candidates need to appear for the Jain University Entrance Exam as on the scheduled date. Candidates will have to reach the JET test centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

STEP 4: Jain Entrance Test Result

JET 2023 results for the exam will be declared on the university's official website. Candidates who qualify for the Jain University entrance exam will be allowed to take admission into courses of their choice based on result/score.

What to carry on Exam Day?

The test-takers will be provided with a pencil and a sheet for any rough work they do. However, candidates are advised to carry a pen or a pencil for the test. Smoking and eating during the exam are strictly prohibited in the examination room. 

What not to carry on Exam Day?

  • JET 2023 aspirants will not be allowed to carry watches, calculators, jewellery, bags, purses, phones, etc. to the JET 2023 exam centre.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall without the permission of the Centre Superintendent or the Invigilator concerned.
  • No candidate will be allowed to carry any eatables, tea or coffee into the examination room during exam hours.

Documents required

  • Admit card: Candidates will have to carry a printed copy of their JET 2023 Admit Card downloaded from Jain University’s website.
  • Photo ID: Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) too is required. This can be your PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card.

IF you have Of OBC, Ex SERVICE MAN QUOTA you may get seat in government college as you scored in JET 2022. if you does not belong to any of these categories you can just apply and wait till last round and you may get chance to get a seat in Government colleges.

For example,

3. Ganeshi Lal Agriculture College, Kishangarh under UR, MBC and EWS category
4. Late Mool Chand Meena AGRICULTURE college, LALSOT under UR and EWS category

The university offers a Bachelor of Science in around 32 specializations, and you have to meet the basic eligibility criteria, which is: (a) You must have passed the 12th grade at a recognised board. (b) You should have scored more than 40% in the relevant Science subject at 12th-grade level. If you fulfill this criteria, you may directly apply online on the university website. However, final admissions will be based on merit in the 12th grade, and if you scored higher than 75%, you have a good chance of getting into this college.
