Last week, the HT Horizons Career Quotient team went to Indraprastha International School, Dwarka, to help students zero in on their career choice. Eager to find out what they were cut out for, the Class XI and XII students took the 40-minute Motivational Appraisal of Personal Potential (MAPP) consisting of 71 questions of three statements each, brought to them by us.
The students can access the assessment report and feedback three weeks after the test. The feedback would point out compatible career paths and help the teens to make an informed decision.
Students welcomed this ‘pathfinder’ move earnestly. “I want to pursue some offbeat career like dance or music. After the result, I can gauge my aptitude,” said student Misha Chanana.
Indraprastha International School is among the growing ranks of institutions signing up for the Career Quotient initiative. Last week, the assessment was also administered at Guru Harkrishan Public School, India Gate. More than 350 Class XI and XII students sat for it.
Impressed by this test, a commerce teacher, too, took the test. School counsellor Divya Saxena said, “It’s definitely good. Students have lots of queries regarding which career to choose.”
Before the test, the students were shown a small audio video presentation on offbeat careers. The test was followed by a small quiz and HT Horizons T-shirts rained on a lucky few who got answers right.
