Karnataka SSLC Passing Criteria Revised: The Karnataka government has decided a ease the Karnatakaย SSLC passing criteria. As per the notice issued by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB), the overall KSEAB class 10th passing percentage has been reduced from 35% to 33%. Also, the minimum subject-wise passing marks in the Karnataka SSLC exam have been reduced from 35% to 30%. Now, students will be declared qualified if they secure 33% marks in internal assessments plus external board exams.

Karnataka SSLC Revised Passing Criteria 2026

The decision to revise SSLC passing criteria aims at reducing the academic pressure on students. As per the Karnataka SSLC passing criteria for 2026, students will be declared qualified if they fulfill all of the following conditions:

  • Secure an average of 33% marks, (internal assessments + external examination)

  • Score a minimum of 206 marks out of the total 625

  • Secure at least 30% marks in each subject

At present, Karnataka SSLC students have to secure at least 35% marks in each subject to pass the exam. Currently, there is no passing provision based on the overall average marks. As per the newly proposed Karnataka SSLC 2026 passing criteria, the previous rule will be changed.ย
