Maharashtra FYJC Admissions 2025: In a noteworthy move for Maharashtra FYJC Admissions 2025, the state government has permitted minority junior colleges to voluntarily surrender their vacant reserved seats immediately following the first round of admissions. Previously, these seats could only be forfeited following the completion of the third admission round. This new guideline enhances flexibility for junior colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and other regions, enabling them to manage seat distribution more efficiently.

Maharashtra FYJC Admission Last Date Extended to June 5, 2025

The announced changes offer additional flexibility. To facilitate the implementation of these new guidelines, the deadline to register for Maharashtra FYJC Admissions 2025 has been extended from June 3 to June 5, 2025, till 2 PM through 11thadmission.org.in. This extension enables junior colleges to update information about associated schools and allows students and parents to change their in-house quota selections. junior colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and other divisions, allowing them to handle seat allocation more effectively.

What's New in Maharashtra FYJC 2025 Admission Rules?

\Minority colleges in Maharashtra can now give up unfilled 50% minority quota seats after the first round of admissions. These seats can then be filled using the in-house quota.
Surrendering seats is entirely discretionary and not required for minority colleges.
If any applications under the minority quota are received during the second round, such students will be given priority before the remaining seats are allocated to the general category.

10,85,851 Students Registered for Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025

As of June 2, 2025, a total of 10,85,851 students have registered for FYJC Class 11 admissions across Maharashtra. Here is the division-wise registration data:

 Mumbai Division: 2,65,900

 Pune Division: 1,87,925

 Kolhapur Division: 1,07,012

 Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division: 1,00,040

 Nashik Division: 1,12,108

 Nagpur Division: 95,210

 Amravati Division: 98,359

 Latur Division: 58,586

 Others: 61,712

Expanded Scope of In-House Quota for FYJC 2025

The government has also expanded the in-house quota. Now, schools managed by the same educational institution within a district can be included under the 10% in-house quota. This helps students from the same academic group continue their education without switching institutions.
