What Happens After UCEED Result? Check Admission Process and Details Here

IIT Bombay released the UCEED Entrance Test result on March 06, 2026 for B.Des programme. The next step will be the release of the UCEED 2026 Scorecard and filling the B.Des application form. Check what happens after the result and how admission takes place at IITs. 

UCEED Admission Process

UCEED results were out on March 06, 2026 for all the candidates who had appeared for UCEED Entrance Test on January 18, 2026. Now, after the release of the UCEED Scorecard, counselling will be conducted by IIT Bombay. IIT Bombay will conduct any Joint counselling for UCEED shortlisted students. After the result announcement, candidates have to fill the B.Des application (Common Application form by IIT Bombay) for admission. Candidates can apply to UCEED Participating Institutes and Result-sharing Institutes.

Next Step after UCEED 2026 Result Announcement

• Apply to Participating Institutes and Result Sharing Institutes: Candidates who have qualified for B.Des need to fill the B.Des application form for the institutes. There is a common B.Des application form that needs to be filled to sit for the UCEED Counselling.
• The application portal will be active from March 14, 2026 (Saturday), 10:00 AM, till April 10, 2026 (Friday), 5:30 PM.
• UCEED Seat allocation will be based on the All-India Rank (merit order), reservation category and seat availability in each institute at the time of seat allocation.

The admission cutoff for UCEED 2026 will be released during seat allotment. The admission cutoff is the minimum rank one needs for admission. The cutoff (admission) would be determined based on factors like seat intake, total applications received for admission, the category of the candidate, etc.
