The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026 was conducted smoothly today, March 29, by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB), Gandhinagar. The exam recorded a strong turnout across all three sessions, with lakhs of students appearing for different subjects.

The GUJCET 2026 exam was held today, and across all three papers of the exam, more than 2.5 lakh candidates have appeared. Check the complete report below.

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026 was conducted smoothly today, March 29, by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB), Gandhinagar. The exam recorded a strong turnout across all three sessions, with lakhs of students appearing across all three papers.

  • In the first session, held for Physics and Chemistry, a total of 1,32,450 candidates appeared out of 1,36,100 registered students. The attendance remained high, showing strong participation from engineering aspirants.
  • The second session, conducted for Biology, saw 75,514 students appear out of 77,607 registered candidates. This session was mainly attended by students aiming for pharmacy and related courses.
  • In the third session, the Mathematics exam recorded 57,158 candidates present out of 58,924 registered students.

Overall, the exam was conducted without any issues, and officials confirmed that no cases of malpractice were reported in any session.

What’s Next for GUJCET 2026 Aspirants

With the exam now over, students can expect the provisional GUJCET 2026 answer key to be released soon on the official GSEB website. Candidates not satisfied with the provisional answer key can object to it. They will have to follow a prescribed format to object and mail their objections during a specified time. The facility to challenge/raise objections in the provisional GUJCT answer key is available online. After reviewing the challenges submitted by students, GSEB released the GUJCET 2026 final answer key.

Further, GUJCET 2026 results are likely to be announced in May 2026. Students are advised to regularly check the official website for updates on answer keys, objections, and result announcements.

Admission via GUJCET will be based on the merit list prepared by giving 50:50 weightage to the class 12 theory percentile in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology and GUJCET Percentile. Whereas, 5% seats of the sanctioned intake of Government and Grant-in-Aid Institutions will be filled using the merit list drawn based on JEE Main 2026 All India rank.
