IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship 2026 Application

IITD Summer Research Fellowship 2026: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has opened applications for its Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) 2026. Students from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (not from IIT Delhi) are eligible to apply for IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2026. They can complete IIT Delhi SRFP till April 3, 2026 (5 pm).

IITD Summer Research Fellowship is held for eight-week that allows selected students to undertake a research and development project. Further, list of selected students will be released in first week of May 2026. IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship Programme will be conducted from May 13 to July 13, 2026.

Who can apply for IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship 2026?

As per eligibility details shared, undergraduate students (from institutes other than IIT Delhi) who have completed at least two years of their engineering degree and rank within the top ten in their respective programme or branch are eligible to apply for IITD Summer Research Fellowship 2026. Whereas, MTech and ME students must have completed at least their first semester. They should also be within top ten ranks with a minimum of 70 per cent marks or a CGPA of 7.00 on a 10-point scale.

How to apply for IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship 2026? 

To apply for summer research fellowship at IIT Delhi

• Students need to visit oldacademics.iitd.ac.in/srf/main.php
• Complete registration 
• Login with username and password
• Now, fill in personal details, academic information, research interests, and a statement of purpose
• Save and submit form 

They also need to upload 

• Recent photograph (JPG format, 200×230 pixels, maximum 100 KB)
• Consolidated grade card certificate
• No Objection Certificate from institution confirming that student will be available for full time research work at IIT Delhi for fellowship period

IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship 2026 

IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship programme will cover cost of train travel (sleeper class) to and from IIT Delhi, boarding and lodging in institute’s hostels, and a weekly fellowship of INR 2,000. Students will be registered as visiting students. They do not have to pay any registration fee.
