Karnataka PGCET 2025 MTech Exam Bell Timings & Dress Code

Karnataka PGCET MTech Exam 2025: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will be conducting the Karnataka PGCET ME/MTech exam tomorrow: May 31, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The question paper will comprise 100 questions, each carrying one mark, totalling 100 marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

All candidates must carry their Karnataka PGCET MTech admit card and a valid government-issued photo ID to the exam. Leaving the exam hall before the final bell is not permitted. Strict adherence to the prescribed Karnataka PGCET MTech dress code is mandatory.

Karnataka PGCET 2025 MTech Bell Timings

Invigilators will verify the candidate’s photo and details, and distribute OMR sheets only to those present. 

Second Bell

2.15 PM

At 2:20 PM, the Deputy Chief Superintendent should hand over sealed question paper packets to invigilators. Question papers should be distributed at 2:25 PM. They must enter and shade, write the question booklet serial number, and sign the OMR answer sheet.

Third Bell

2.30 PM

At 2:30 PM, they can open the question booklet and begin answering. After this time, no one can enter or leave the exam hall.

Fourth Bell

3.30 PM

This is the first caution bell, indicating that one hour of the exam has passed.

Fifth Bell

4 PM 

This second caution bell signals that 30 minutes remain in the exam.

Sixth Bell

4.25 PM

This is the final caution bell; invigilators must announce, “Only five minutes remain for the exam to end. 

Seventh Bell

4.30 PM

At the end of the exam, invigilators must ensure all candidates stop writing and immediately collect the OMR answer sheets.

Karnataka PGCET 2025 MTech Dress Code

Those appearing for Karnataka PGCET 2025 MTech exam can check the dress code specified by KEA for male and female candidates below:

For Male Candidates:

  • Only half-sleeved shirts are allowed; full-sleeved shirts are not permitted.
  • Preferably wear plain, collarless shirts or T-shirts.
  • Trousers or plain pants with minimal or no pockets are recommended; jeans and kurta pyjamas are not allowed.
  • Clothing must be light, without zip pockets, large buttons, or embroidery.
  • Shoes are not allowed inside the exam hall; wear sandals or flat-soled slippers.
  • Metal jewellery such as chains, earrings, rings, and bracelets is strictly prohibited.

For Female Candidates:

  • Avoid wearing clothes with elaborate embroidery, floral designs, brooches, or decorative buttons.
  • Full-sleeved tops and jeans are not permitted; only half-sleeved clothing is allowed.
  • Footwear must be simple—high heels and thick-soled slippers/shoes are not allowed; only thin-soled slippers are permitted.
  • Wearing metal jewellery is not allowed, except for mangalsutra and anklets.
