FMGs have requested NMC to intervene and address the internship for six months, and the Haryana Medical Council has not yet allocated seats, though another batch of FGMs qualified on January 19, 2025.

FMGs in Haryana Protest

All FMGs Association (AFA) is seeking the National Medical Commission's attention towards mental stress and waste of time because of an internship due for six months. The AFA shared their concern on the social media platform 'X' formerly Twitter urging NMC to intervene and address the FMG internship issue in Haryana state. Reportedly, the Haryana Medical Council has not allocated seats to Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) for six months, and another batch of FMGs has already qualified on January 19, 2025.

"Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) in Haryana have been awaiting internships for six months, and another batch of FMGs passed yesterday. For the past six months, the Haryana Medical Council has not allocated seats, leading to increased mental stress and a waste of time. I kindly request that you intervene and address these issues promptly, as the conditions of certain state councils are quite inadequate. As a supreme body, NMC should take action to resolve these matters." The AFA's social media post highlighted.

Foreign Medical Graduates in Haryana Await Internships Amid Growing Concerns

The delay of internship allocations by the Haryana Medical Council has caused significant distress among the graduates, who are now facing increased mental strain and uncertainty about their futures. Besides, this has led to the waste of time of the students who have completed the needful abroad and are willing to proceed with the internship for practice in India.

A fresh batch of FMGs, having passed their exams, now faces the same dilemma in the state as the Haryana Medical Council continues to withhold internship placements. As a result, the association is urging NMC to intervene in the matter at the earliest.
