CSIR NET June 2026 Notification: NTA is expected to release the notification for CSIR NET June 2026 soon on the official website. It will be released on the official portal -  csirnet.nta.nic.in.

The notification PDF will include information such as syllabus, eligibility, dates, pattern etc. The application form will also be released with the notification. CSIR NET is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and it cover five major subjects - Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Earth Sciences.

It is for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professor in science subjects. 

Eligibility Criteria For CSIR NET 2026 

Following are eligibility criteria for CSIR NET 2026:

• As of January 1, 2026, the age limit should be maximum 28 years for JRF. Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable for 3 years, and for SC/ST/PwD, upto 5 years. For Lectureship (NET), there is no upper age limit.
• They must have a M.Sc. or equivalent degree, 4-year BS, Integrated BS-MS, BE/B.Tech, B.Pharm, or MBBS from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

How to Apply for CSIR NET 2026

See below the steps to apply for the exam:

• Go to the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in
• On homepage, click on the application form button
• Next, click on the new registration button
• Enter all details asked in the registration form
• Click on Submit
• Now, save system-generated application number and password
• Login to the registered account using the application number and password
• Fill in all details asked in the form
• Upload scanned images of photo and signature in JPG format 

The official release date has not been announced yet but the notification is expected to be released in March 2026.
