CSIR NET 2026 June session notification is expected to release soon. Once released, candidates can check key dates, eligibility criteria and preparation strategy.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research  is expected to release CSIR NET 2026 June session notification soon on its official portal. Candidates preparing for National Eligibility Test are advised to keep checking official website for latest updates related to exam dates.

The CSIR NET exam is conducted twice a year for Junior Research Fellowship  and eligibility for Assistant Professor in science subjects. The June session is one of the main examination cycles, and a large number of science graduates and postgraduate students appear for this examination.

CSIR NET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Following are eligibility criteria for CSIR NET

  • Candidates must have completed MS or equivalent degreeBE/B.Tech, B.Pharm, Integrated BS-MS, 4-year BS, or MBBS from a recognized university/institution.
  • The minimum marks required are - 55% for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • Maximum age is 28 years as of 1 January 2026. Age relaxation applies: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • Lectureship (NET): There is no upper age limit.
