NDA 2 Exam Day Guidelines 2026
NDA 2 exam day guidelines are given below.
- Candidates must bring the printout of the NDA admit card along with the original photo identity card
- Candidates must preserve their admit cards till the declaration of the final result
- Candidates are advised to visit NDA exam centre in advance to familiarise themselves with the location to avoid the last-minute hassle in their own interest
- Candidate should not bring a mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device, or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc., or a camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories, either in working or switched off mode, capable of being used as a communication device during the examination
- Use of a normal or simple wrist watch by candidates is allowed inside the examination hall
- Answers should be marked with a black ballpoint pen
- Candidates must bring two passport size photographs

NDA marking scheme is prescribed by UPSC. Candidates for correct answers are given 2.5 marks in Maths. 0.83 marks are deducted for wrong answers. Four marks are given for correct answers in GAT. 1.33 marks are deducted for wrong answers. Total marks allotted to the written exam are 900.
Yes, solving NDA question papers is an important part of preparation. Solving the question papers helps candidates to assess their level of preparation for the exam. Candidates will also be able to find out their strengths and weakness and plan for the exam accordingly. Candidates must solve NDA question papers after completing the syllabus. They should fix a timetable for solving the question papers. Candidates at least one question paper regularly while preparing for NDA exam. A total of 120 questions are asked in the Maths paper of NDA. Questions are usually asked from Algebra Matrices and Determinants Trigonometry Analytical Geometry Of Two and Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, and Differential Equations Vector Algebra Statistics and Probability. In the GAT part of the NDA exam, a total of 150 questions are asked. This section is divided into parts. Part A comprises questions from English and Part B comprises questions from General Knowledge. In English questions are generally asked from Spotting Errors, Antonyms, Synonyms, Idioms, and Phrases and Fill in the Blanks. In General Knowledge, questions are asked from Physics Chemistry Biology Indian Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Defence Specific, Current Affairs & Static GK, etc.
