SSC CGL 2025: Staff Selection Commission is all set to open the post preference submission window for candidates who appeared in the Tier II stage of the Combined Graduate Level exam today, March 9, 2026. 

Candidates will be able to submit option cum preference for posts and departments form today at 6 pm to March 12, 2026, 6 pm. The facility will be activated on the official website.

While submitting preferences, it is advisable that candidates must read the SSC CGL 2025 examination notice. They should know if they meet the physical and medical standards needed for the posts.

If they are selected for a post but later do not meet the required physical or medical standards, the candidature can be cancelled.

SSC CGL: More Details

The exam is conducted in multiple stages. Tier 1 was held in computer based mode to shortlist candidates for next stage. Its result was declared on December 18, 2025. Tier II exam was held from January 18 to January 20, 2026. Those who appeared in Tier 2 must now complete the post preference submission.

Those who will not submit their post preference within the given time will not be considered for the final merit list or final selection. SSC will not given any other opportunity after the deadline. The Commission made it clear that any complaints or requests later through email, fax, post or any other mode will not be entertained.
