TN TET 2026 exam on July 4, 5; Registration Begins on February 18
TN TET exam 2026 is all set to be held on July 4 and July 5. Both paper 1 and paper 2 will be conducted for a duration of three hours. Read below for more details.
TN TET 2026 Paper 1 exam will be conducted on July 4, 2026, Paper 2 will be held on July 5, 2026. Tamil Nadu government has invited applications for Tamil Nadu Eligibility Test (TNTET) from eligible working teachers.
The application process of Tamil Nadu TET 2026 will commence on February 18, 2026. The last date to submit online application is April 10, 2026.
Paper 1 and paper 2 both comprise 150 MCQs each of 150 marks. The examination fee is INR 600 for each application. For candidates belonging to SC, SCA, ST and Differently Abled Persons, the application fee is INR 300. Once, the payment is made it will not be refunded. It is advisable that candidates must enter the correct Community/Category of Disability.
Eligibility Criteria For TET 2026 TN
There is only one eligibility condition they should be working Teachers who are appointed on or before September 01, 2025 as SGT, BT Assistant and other equivalent cadre Teachers on Time Scale/Consolidated/Part-time pay of Government / Government Aided / Recognized Private schools in Tamil Nadu.
How To Register For Tamil Nadu TET
Students must follow these steps to apply for the exam:
- They should go to official website www.trb.tn.gov.in.
- Use separate application for Paper 1 and Paper 2 with separate fees.
- They must upload the Service Certificate.
- Upload recent passport size colour photograph in JPG/JPEG/PnG format of size 40-60 KB.
- Upload signature (Jpg/Jpeg/Png format of size 20-40 KB)
- Use valid email id and mobile number for registration.
Documents Needed for TN TET
Applicants must include these documents along with online application:
- Class 10/SSLC Certificate and Marksheets
- Class 12/Higher Secondary Course or its equivalent Certificate and Marksheets
- Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma in Elementary Education / Diploma in Teacher Education (Special Education)
- B.El.Ed., 4 Years or its equivalent
- 4 - Year Integrated course B.A./B.Sc.Ed., or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.
- U.G. Degree in the relevant subject or its equivalent
- B.Ed., / Special B.Ed., Degree or its equivalent and other qualifications for IEDSS
- Community Certificate
- Differently Abled Certificate
- Service Certificate
