UPSC CAPF 2026 Notification Out @upsc.gov.in; Apply for Assistant Commandant Posts

UPSC has released the CAPF 2026 Notification at the official website upsc.gov.in. The Commission has invited applications for a total of 349 CAPF Assistant Commandant posts across five forces with a deadline of March 12, 2026.  

UPSC CAPF Notification: Union Public Service Commission has invited applications for CAPF Assistant Commandant 2026 posts. The candidates can visit to official website to apply to 349 CAPF Assistant Commandant posts. 
Out of 349 posts, 108 for the Border Security Force, 106 for the Central Reserve Police Force, 53 for the Sashastra Seema Bal, 70 for the Central Industrial Security Force, and 12 for the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
The exam will be tentatively held on July 19, 2026. The application window started on February 12, 2026. The last date to apply for these posts is March 12, 2026.
The age limit should be between 20 to 25 years, that is, born not before August 2, 2001, and not later than August 1, 2006. The age relaxation will be given as per rules. The exam fee of INR 200 can be paid online by General and Other Backward Classes. Female and other categories are exempted from the fees.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CAPF Exam

Following are eligibility criteria for UPSC CAPF 2026:

• Candidates should have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university.
• Female height should be 157 cm. They should complete 100-meter race in 18 seconds and the 800-meter race in 4 minutes 45 seconds. Long jump of 3 meters. Candidates will get 3 chances.
• Male height should be 165 cm, and chest measurements should be between 81 and 86 cm. They should have completed 100 meter race in 16 seconds and the 800-meter race in 3 minutes 45 seconds. Long jump 3.5 meters in 3 chances, and shot put with 7.5 kilograms: 4.5 meters.
