UPTET 2021 Cancelled due to Paper Leak; Exam to be held next month; check details
UPTET 2021 exam has been cancelled due to the question paper leak. The exam was scheduled to be held on November 28 in two sessions for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 exam has been cancelled by Uttar Pradesh Government due to the leak of the question paper just before the exam was about to begin for Paper 1 (Primary Level). The Exam Regulatory Authority is now likely to conduct the UPTET exam next month in December 2021. The new dates and schedule will be announced soon by the authority.
As per the media reports, the UPTET question paper went viral on various WhatsApp groups in several exam centre districts including Mathura, Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr. A special task force (STF) is now investigating the matter.
With the cancellation of the exam, the post-exam events such as UPTET answer key release and result declaration will be delayed. Candidates are advised to utilise this time to further brush up their preparation level by practising the previous years' question papers and mock tests.
The UPTET 2021 exam was scheduled to be held on November 28 in two slots for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The UPTET Paper 1 was set to be held in the first shift from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and the Paper 2 was to be held in the second shift from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm. The exam was set to be held offline in pen and paper mode in over 2500 exam centres across the state. More than twenty-one lakh candidates were expected to appear for the exam to obtain eligibility as Classes 1 to 8 teachers in Uttar Pradesh schools. However, the exam will now be held after a month in the state.
