University of Nottingham (UoN) has announced 10 completely funded PhD positions in the School of Chemistry in a variety of research areas.
University of Nottingham (UoN) is offering 10 fully-funded PhD positions in the School of Chemistry in a variety of research areas for 3.5 years covering tuition fees and stipends and are open to UK home students.
UoN Chemistry has invited the application from the Science students who are interested in knowing more than the traditional areas of Chemistry and ready to embrace the cutting edge research. The university has confirmed that it has a variety of research projects across the entire range of Molecular Bonding & Spectroscopy, Biological Chemistry, Synthesis & Catalysis, and Materials Chemistry.
The official release reads, "The School of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham is one of the largest chemistry research units in the UK offering excellent analytical equipment facilities to all researchers, including a suite of 13 NMRs up to 800 MHz, a wide range of MS and chromatography instrumentation, and single crystal and powder XRD facilities. The school's research laboratories are in several locations: a purpose-designed chemistry building; the nearby interdisciplinary Biodiscovery Institute (BDI) and Nanoscale & Microscale Research Centre (nmRC) with shared facilities for biochemical research and nanoscale imaging & analysis respectively; and the GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory supported by a £12m award from GSK, offer additional unique training and research opportunities. A number of projects involve collaboration and co-supervision with commercial/industrial partners."
