<p style="text-align: justify;">Neal Duggal, a student from Mallya Aditi International School, Bangalore is selected for the Manmohan Singh Undergraduate Scholarship, 2010.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />The scholarship will fund his undergraduate course in economics at the University of Cambridge. The programme was launched to provide <img style="border: 3px solid black; margin: 3px 4px; float: left;" src="https://images.shiksha.com/mediadata/images/1265263983php3a621z.jpeg" alt="" width="109" height="115">financial assistance to exceptional students in India who would not otherwise be able to afford to go to Cambridge.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />&ldquo;I am completely overwhelmed to receive this scholarship.This will help me pursue my passion for economics in a university of great repute and that too in the same college (St John&rsquo;s) where our prime minister had studied the subject. I am truly thankful to the university for this opportunity and plan to make the best of it,&rdquo; he said.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />The scholarship programme was established in 2009 in honour of theprime minister who had graduated from the university with a first in economics in the late 1950s. He was also awarded an Honourary Doctorate by the university in 2006.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />&ldquo;It will cover all my expenses. I can concentrate on my studies, now.During the selection interview, the professors did not ask me anything related to my syllabus. The scholarship will fund his undergraduate course in economics at the University of Cambridge. The programme was launched to provide financial assistance to exceptional students in India who would not otherwise be able to afford to go to Cambridge.


“I am completely overwhelmed to receive this scholarship.This will help me pursue my passion for economics in a university of great repute and that too in the same college (St John’s) where our prime minister had studied the subject.
