CS Pre Examination Test: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts CS Pre Examination Test for candidates seeking enrolment in CS Examination: CS Executive or CS Professional levels. This is an exam that has to be taken compulsorily by the candidates before enrolling for the main examination. CS Pre examination test will be conducted for all students of Executive or Professional levels under New Syllabus 2022. CS Pre examination test serves as eligibility criteria. Candidates will be required to pay the requisite fee for the examination test online. ICSI CS Enrollment Process December 2025 will commence on Augyst 26, 2025. The last date to enroll (with late fee) for December 2025 is September 25.

How to Appear for CS Pre Examination Test?
Candidates preparing for CS Examination: CS Executive or CS Professional as per new syllabus 2022 must appear for the CS Pre Examination Test (PET). To appear for the ICSI CS PET students must refer the steps mentioned below:
Step 1- Visit the official website of ICSI- https://icsi.edu/home/www.icsi.edu

Step 5- Enter the login credentials- Your login ID is your registration number (without any slash sign) suffix with @icsi.edu for example- If your registration number is 1234567/10/2018 then your login ID will be 1234567102018 [at]icsi.edu and fefault password for first time login is Learn@1234
No, there is no negative marking in CS Executive examination. CS Executive question paper will consist of description/subjective questions which will have no negative marking.
For objective type question, for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted and one mark will be given for every correct response.
As per the ICSI CS Executive exam marking scheme each question has equal marks. The total marks for CS Executive each paper is 100 marks. There will be no negative amrking for any incorrect answer or not attempted questions. Candidates will be given partial marks for every correct answer.
The ICSI CS Executive examination is a combination of descriptiove and Multiple Choice Questions. The exam is divided in Two groups. The first group consist of four papers and second paper consists of three papers. Each paper will consist of maximum 100 marks. The medium of ICSI CS Executive question paper is English only.

To appear for the CS Pre-Examination test, candidates must read the test guidelines carefully. Refer to the points below to know the important guidelines for CS Pre Examination Test:
- Qualifying the CS Pre-Examination test will be mandatory for both the CS Executive and CS Professional levels.
- CS Pre-Examination Test will be conducted in computer-based mode. Candidates will be able to take the PET from home or cyber café.
- To qualify CS Pre-Examination Test, candidates must score a minimum of 40%.
- Students may appear in the Pre-Examination Test in any specific subject thrice (three times) in a day. However, there must be a gap of at least 8 Hrs. between any two successive attempts in that subject.
- A student shall have to qualify in all the subjects of the Module in which he wants to appear in an Examination Session.
- The result of the Test of a subject, in which a student has qualified, will remain valid for future Examinations.
- Candidates who will not qualify for the CS Pre-Examination Test will not be able to enroll for the CS Executive or CS Professional examination.
- After the switchover to New Syllabus (2022), the students shall only be allowed to enrol for the examinations in the new syllabus after passing the Pre-Exam Test.
- After the switchover, the student has to clear the pre-examination test for the subjects which are not exempt to be eligible to take the main examination.

Candidates can appear for CS Pre Examination Test before enrolling for the CS Executive or CS Professional examination. Candidates will have to compulsorily qualify the CS Pre Examination Test to enroll for CS Examinations. Without appearing for pre-examination test, candidates cannot enrollf or upcoming examinations.
