New recruitment test for commerce students!

Commerce students can look forward to better access to the job market with the launch of AICMTSE from May, 2013. The Indian Commerce Association (ICA) will be conducting an All India Commerce and Management Talent Search Examination (AICMTSE) annually. This newly-launched recruitment test will assist commerce students to enter the job market.
Any student from a commerce background with at least a Class XII qualification will be eligible to appear for the test. The scores of the top performing students will then be sent to the industry.
To be conducted online across the country, the test will comprise objective questions.
A committee appointed by ICA will set up the question papers. TA Shiware, principal of Hinduja College and the newly elected president of the Association informed that AICMTSE will be a test like the NET or SET and the students' scores will be given to those in the industry, reported the Hindustan Times.
The test is expected to:
- Widen the scope of employability of commerce students
- Encourage quality research in the area of commerce
- Create a standardised assessment platform for commerce students across the country
Besides this, regional offices for the Association will also be set up which would focus on reducing the gap between academia and industry and will lay emphasis on research.
