MAAC-artoon 2013 competition registrations open
Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) in association with Indian Institute of Cartoonists will be holding ‘MAAC–artoon 2013’, an art competition for all the youngsters between 15-25 years. Interested candidates can submit a copy of proof of eligibility and register themselves at any MAAC centres in Bangalore, Davangere and Hubli.
MAAC-artoon is categorised into two groups: General and Animation & Fine Arts, where in students from fine arts & animation field can apply in their respective discipline. For the contest, participants can create artworks based on either of the themes corruption or match fixing and submit their entries at MAAC centres.
Shortlisted candidates will qualify for the grand finale on August 24, 2013. The jury panel consisting of Cartoonist Satish Acharya, K N Balraj, Renowned Cartoonist & Copy writer and Actress Vyjayanthi Kashi, a Kuchipudi Exponent, Shajan Samuel, Sr. Vice President, MAAC, Binoy Joseph, National Creative Director, Radio City and Alicia Souza, Illustrative Designer will judge the best entries and give away trophies and exciting prizes such as Bamboo tablets, Galaxy Tab 2, Sony Cyber shot camera to the winners. All candidates will be awarded with a certificate of participation.
