By Ruchi Shrimali
Who will believe that Kottapalli Hemanth of Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh is just a 13 year old boy? He has already released an animated movie called Wonderland and is now in the final stages of post-production work of his 3D animation movie called Alien Arena. And to think he has no formal qualifications or hands-on training for the job!
A student of Class VIII at the Presidential School in Vizag, Hemanth learned animation through various online sources. He is a pro at popular 3D software like Maya 2012, 3D Motion graphics, 3D Studio Max and FCP. He has already completed the trial version and the trailer of his new movie. The main film is expected to be ready in a fortnight. His story revolves around a robot who defends Planet Earth from menacing aliens.
Seeing his interest in animation, Hemanth's father bought him a high-end Apple computer. He set about training himself with the help of a free US-based online coaching centre. He practiced the tutorials with a passion of a gifted animator. Hemanth promises that his new movie will be much better than his maiden attempt as he has used high-end designing techniques and better quality animation for it. Read more
