Registrations for IAD 2011 Awards are still on!I

The most important news of the day for animation experts is that they can still enter their submissions for International Animation Day (IAD) 2011 Awards that are being organized by ASIFA India every year since 2002. The awards celebrate the excellence in Animated and VFX Films and entry in the awards is free of cost. Earlier, September 18 was decided to be the submission deadline for the entries which has now been extended to October 2, 2011.

The categories in which the IAD 2011 Awards will be given are:

1. Professional Animated or VFX Films, which will have following sub-categories:

• Short Films
• Commercials
• TV Episodes
• Feature Films

2. Student Films, which will have following sub-categories:

• VFX Movies
• Stop Motion Pictures
• 2D Movies
• 3D Films

The competition is open for Animated and VFX films from around the world as well as India.
