CLAT counselling goes online from 2014
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) counselling for students will be conducted online from the upcoming academic session. This was announced by Gujarat National Law University (NLU), Gandhinagar, after the first meeting of the core committee. CLAT-2014 will be held on May 11, 2014.
GNLU, along with other 14 NLUs focused on CLAT issues such as eligibility, application form notification, test centres and important dates. They also pondered over the examination question pattern.
The new centralised online counselling is expected to help students with time and energy, making the entire admission process efficient.
Around 31,000 students appeared in CLAT-2013 for about 1,600 seats available in various national law universities. GNLU expects more than 35,000 students to apply for the 2014 test.
More than 30,000 students took the CLAT 2013 for about 1,600 seats. The number is expected to reach 35,000 in 2014.
