GRE rescheduled at 6 centres
The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) has been rescheduled at six centres, which include Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Trivandrum. These centres have been closed for the ongoing monitoring process right now and all the slots that have already been booked will be rescheduled.
The rescheduling is causing confusion among students. Students who had opted to take GRE in January and February are worried that rescheduling of the exam might coincide with the dates of their college/institute exams. However, “All affected test-takers are being personally contacted by Prometric to arrange alternative testing,” according to an official statement to media by this global testing & assessment services provider.
The monitoring process of the test centres includes evaluation of biometrics, surveillance monitoring and image capture.
