IBSAT 2013 registerations open!
An acronym for ICFAI Business Studies Aptitude Test, IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education University. The exam is taken by students aiming for admissions to the MBA/ PhD programs offered at IBS Hyderabad.
Eligibility:
Management Programs:
- Aspirant must be a graduate in any discipline and must have acquired a minimum of 50% marks; with medium of instruction as English.
- Any aspirant not qualifying the 'English medium' eligibility criteria at the UG level will have to submit the TOEFL / NELT / IELTS score by May 31, 2014
- Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course can also apply but they must have completed their graduation requirements including practical examinations / viva / assignments before May 31, 2014 and must also submit proof of graduation by November 01, 2014.
- All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
- Applicants who have completed their graduation on one time sitting basis or on a 2 year basis are not eligible for the MBA / PGPM programs of IBS.
PhD Programs:
- Graduation with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English
- Post Graduation in Management (Full time with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management and Operations from an UGC approved University) or a professional qualification like CFA/CA/CWA/CS with 60% and above marks.
- Minimum 17 years of regular education (10 + 2 + 3 + 2 or 10 +2 + 4 + 2).
- Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL / NELT / IELTS score by May 31, 2014.
- Please note that applicants who have completed their graduation/ Post graduation on one time sitting basis or on a 2 year basis or on part time/ distance mode are not eligible for the PhD program at IBS Hyderabad.
Exam pattern:
Based on CBT (Computer Based Test), IBSAT encompasses MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions). This two hour exam is spread over 4 sections:

- PhD : IBS Hyderabad
Aspirants of IBSAT 2013 can purchase the IBSAT Bulletin through any one of the listed methods by paying a fee of Rs.1500.

Admission process:
CAT/ GMAT scores:
GMAT scores (from 2010 onwards) and CAT 2013 scores are also accepted in place of IBSAT 2013. Candidates with GMAT or CAT scores do not need to appear for IBSAT 2013. Listed below are the institute that accept IBSAT 2013/ GMAT (2010 onwards)/ CAT 2013 scores for admissions:

- The ICFAI University, Jaipur
- IBS Campuses in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune
The above mentioned institutes accept scores for the following programs:
- MBA program which is offered by IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur.
- PGPM (Post Graduate program in Management) program which is offered at IBS Ahmadabad, IBS Bangalore,IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune.
Selection process:
Aspirants, who have qualified on the basis of IBSAT 2013 / GMAT® / CAT scores, will be called for the selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2014. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidates in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Test centers:
IBSAT is conducted in 95 centers across the country. The test centers for IBSAT 2013 are not yet declared.
