IIT ADAPT 2012 tests your aptitude for architecture
Students, chasing the dream of joining the highly competitive architecture or design programmes at one of the IITs, will now have to appear for IITJEE Architecture Design Aptitude Test 2012 on June 3. Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) programme of five years duration is being offered at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee, while IIT Guwahati offers one-of-its kind four-year Bachelor of Design (B. Des) programme.
The test is only open for those who have already cracked IIT JEE 2012. Now, the aspirants need to qualify the IITJEE Architecture Design Aptitude Test to be considered for admission. Those who will clear the test will then be allotted seats according to their JEE ranks.
The three-hour Aptitude Test will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. The test for B.Arch will only be conducted in English.
IITJEE Architecture Design Aptitude Test 2012 will evaluate students on following skills:
- Freehand drawing
- Geometrical drawing
- Three-dimensional perception
- Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity
- Architectural awareness
