IRMA invites applications for PG Diploma in Rural Management
Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) has invited applications Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PRM), batch 2014-16. Last date to apply is January 20, 2014. The institute will use CAT 2013 scores for admission to these programmes. According to the official notification by IRMA, “All the applicants who appeared for CAT 2013 will be called for IRMA written test in the subject of ‘issues of social concern’ to be held on February 23, 2014 (Sunday), at 27 centers across India subject to their application being accepted by IRMA and fulfilling the other eligibility criteria.”
Eligibility
- A graduate from any discipline, with a minimum 15 years of education (10+2+3); At least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST/differently abled person) aggregate marks at graduation level.
- Final year students can also apply, provided they complete all requirements of before July 14, 2014.
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for PRM.
Total seats offered is around 180.

Interested candidates can:Application fee will be waived for applicants belonging to “Below Poverty Line (BPL)” families. According to the official notification, “There is a common application form for PRM and FPRM programmes. An applicant may apply for two programmes by using one application form. Those candidates applying online by using payment gateway / Payment at SBI may get discount of Rs.75/-.”
Interested candidates can:
- Apply online and pay through payment gateway, OR
- Take printout of SBI challan available on IRMA website in the admission link. Pay the required amount at any SBI branch using the challan. SBI would thereafter issue a unique ID number. “Use this unique ID number and apply online through IRMA website,” OR
- Obtain application material (prospectus, application forms, etc.) in hard copy from Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand - 388 001 on payment of full fees. (All the payments to IRMA should be made in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of IRMA, payable at Anand).

Selection process
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis on CAT 2013 scores. The shortlisted candidates will then be called for IRMA written test in the subject of ‘issues of social concern’ on February 23, 2014 (Sunday). There will be 40 questions in the admissions test. The test will be conducted for 25 minutes.
