JoSAA 2025 registration has begun following the announcement of the JEE Advanced 2025 results. Candidates who qualified for the JEE Advanced were eligible to participate in JoSAA counselling for admission into IITs. Meanwhile, those with a valid JEE Main 2025 rank could apply through JoSAA for admission into NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). To be considered for seat allotment in either IITs or the NIT+ system, all candidates were required to complete the JoSAA 2025 registration process. During registration, candidates were required to verify their identity using their JEE Main 2025 application number, full name, mother’s name, and date of birth. An OTP will then be sent to the mobile number and email ID registered with JEE Main, which must be entered to complete the authentication.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the Round 1 seat allotment for JoSAA Counselling 2025. This year’s counselling process will include six rounds, each comprising seat allotment, candidate confirmation, online reporting at the assigned institute, and fee payment. Once all six rounds are completed, any remaining vacant seats will be filled through the CSAB 2025 counselling process. JoSAA choice filling process involves registration and choice filling by candidates. Choice filling includes registering and prioritising the choices within the JoSAA choice filling last date. Candidates can specify the institute type, institute name, and programme from several options provided. Applicants need to fill in as many choices as possible in the order of preference from the list.

Q:   How can I get admission in IIT Bombay with JEE?
A:

Candidates wishing to get into BTech course of IIT Bombay have to qualify for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. The selected candidates based on JEE score are allotted seat through JoSAA Counselling. Candidates who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for JEE Main. BTech course aspirants have to apply through JEE Main by filling out an application form through the National Testing Agency (NTA) official website (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 and INR 800 for girls (general/gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) category). Followed by JEE Main, students have to register for JEE Advanced. For this, candidates have to first login with their JEE Main 2023 application number and password. Further, candidates have to fill out the registration form, upload scanned certificates, and pay the application fee. 

Q:   How can I get admission to IIT Madras for BTech?
A:

Admission to the BTech courses offered by IIT Madras are entrance-based and done on the basis of scores obtained in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Seats are allocated through JoSAA counselling after the results of the entrance exams are out. Students who clear the IIT Madras BTech cutoff are then required to go through document verification and pay the required fees to complete the process.

For the 2025 session, the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling fee is set at ₹35,000 for candidates belonging to the General and OBC/EWS categories, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates are required to pay ₹15,000.
