Kurukshetra University Admissions 2021: Kurukshetra University is all set to offer various online courses. According to the reports, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted permission to Kurukshetra University to start four full-fledged online courses from the session of 2021-2022. Candidates interested in KU Admissions 2021 must note that the online courses to be offered by KU are Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Arts (Mass Communication) and Master of Commerce. KU officials revealed that the varsity also received a letter in this regard from UGC.

Talking about the University’s move towards online education, the vice-chancellor of KU, Professor Som Nath Sachdeva said, “It is a major decision which will enhance access to higher education and will help in increasing gross enrolment ratio (GER) of students in higher education institutions.” However, KU has given online education to its 13,000 on–campus students during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. The KU virtual classes came out as greater success.

Professor Som Nath further added, “We will use the best technology and the latest pedagogy to start these courses from the next session. This step will certainly help in achieving the New Education Policy’s target of increasing GER to 50% by 2035.” Talking about how the University has already fulfilled all the criteria of UGC to start the full-fledged online courses and got the approval for 4 courses, the professor added that we will gradually increase the number of online degrees in the coming 5 years.
