University Announces Launch of PhD Programme in Engineering and Applied Sciences

June 21, 2020: Hyderabad-based Mahindra Ecole Centrale announced the launch of its PhD programme in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences from the 2020 academic session. Students can choose to pursue PhD in Computer Science, Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering disciplines and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For students willing to pursue PhD in Liberal Arts, the University offers Humanities and Social Sciences programme supported by high-quality media and design think labs.

PhD students will receive Rs 25,000 per month as an assistantship and free accommodation benefits. They must provide a minimum eight hours of teaching support per week. The last date to apply for admissions to PhD programme 2020 is June 27.

MEC focuses on institutional research promotion and also focuses on finding solution to real-life problems as well as basic scientific and technological issues. It also works on the advancement of basic and applied sciences at the state, global policy and corporate level. Sponsored grants to research, industrial research, research publications and presentations in international journals and conferences guarantee a consistently high level of commitment to quality research.

MEC to Organise Two-Day Indo-French Conference on April 3

March 31, 2020: MEC - Mahindra Ecole Centrale is organising the first Indo-French Conference - Frontiers in Photonics and Metamaterials-2020 (IFCFPM) in association with École Centrales (France). The two-day conference is scheduled between April 3 and 4. The key aim of IFCFPM is to provide forums to bring global experts and scholars together to disseminate and promote progress in photonics and metamaterials as a result. Institute is inviting original papers on emerging trends and significant developments in the area of photonics and metamaterials.

Topics include Fibre Optics, Biophotonics, Optical and Terahertz Wave Guides, Mid-IR and THz Photonics, Novel Optical Sensors, Silicon Photonics, Laser Sensors, Dielectric and Plasmonic Metamaterials, Optical and mechanical storage devices, Nanophotonics, Opto-mechanical Metamaterials and Photonics 

MEC Organises E-Summit 2020

January 25, 2020: The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell of Mahindra Ecole Centrale organised its first E-Summit in the University campus. The two-day event was held on January 24-25. The summit featured number of special events such as startup sprint, startup showcase and business idea competition. The institute invited prominent industry professionals and academic experts as panel speakers facilitate keynote speeches and interactive sessions with entrepreneurs, mentors and investors.

The summit was a great platform for young bussing entrepreneurs to showcase their product or services, startup skills and business idea to potential customers and investors.
