MARDC – PGAICET entrance exam

MARDC - PGAICET (M A Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre – Post Graduate College Entrance Test) is an entrance exam conducted by M A Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre. The exam is taken by aspirants seeking admission to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs offered in various subjects for the commencing session at the institute.

MARDC - PGAICET 2013 is scheduled to be conducted on February 10.

Eligibility criteria:

• A candidate who has to pass final BDS examination from a recognised Dental college included in the schedule of the Indian Dentist Act, 1993 or such equivalent and who has obtained registration either from the Dental Council of India or State Dental Council or Dental Council of such other body in that country after completing one- year compulsory rotating internship will be eligible to appear for MARDC-PGAICET 2013.
• Registration is a condition precedent for appearing at MARDC-PGAICET 2013 for Post Graduate Degree Course
• The Full/permanent DCI/MDC or SDC of other States or equivalent registration is a condition precedent for appearing at MARDC-PGAICET 2013 and its proof including submission of application for registration should be enclosed.
• A candidate who has completed one year compulsory Internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31/03/2013 can appear for the entrance test.
• Candidates likely to complete their internship on or before 31/3/2013 should submit documentary proof from their Principals/Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship.
• Candidate who has previously registered and pursuing/ completed the course is not eligible to appear for the test. Candidates who have completed PG Diploma is eligible to appear for the MARDC – PGAICET 2013 for admission to PG degree course in the same subject only.

Application procedure:

• Aspirants need to submit single prescribed Application Form, which can be obtained from office of the M A Rangoonwala Dental College, Pune.
• Information Brochure along with blank Application Form will be available at the office of the M A Rangoonwala Dental College at Pune on payment of prescribed fees of Rs. 1500 or equivalent amount By DD drawn in favour of “M A Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences & Research Centre” payable at Pune drawn on a Nationalised or Co-operative Bank.
• The College Entrance Test fees for MARDC – PGAICET 2013 is Rs 1500 which shall be paid by DD in favour of M A Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences &Research Centre payable at Pune drawn on a Nationalised / Scheduled Bank at the time of submission of application form.
• MARDC – PGAICET 2013 will be conducted only at Pune at College of Education (D.Ed. College) Bldg., Azam Campus, Camp, Pune - 01.
• No original documents are to be attached with the application form
• Candidate should fill the Application Form and submit within specified date

Exam pattern:

• To be conducted in English, MARDC – PGAICET 2013 will be a one and half hours paper with 100 multiple – choice questions (MCQ).
• The questions would be of single best response objective type with four answer options.
• One mark will be awarded to each correct answers
• Wrong answers would hold no negative answers
• Scratching, overwriting, tick mark and multiple answers will be considered as wrong answers and no marks will be awarded to them. Besides this, the entrance test will be of the standard of BDS Examination and shall cover all the subjects of BDS course. The tentative number of questions for each subject will be as given below:
