ETS has invited applications for the GRE revised general test with new Score Select SM option. GRE score is accepted by over 1,000 B-schools worldwide.

Graduate Record Examination (GRE) conducted by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) is gaining prominence as an admission test for business schools across the world.

Educational Testing Services (ETS) has invited applications for the GRE revised general test with new Score Select SM option. It is the only test accepted by graduate as well as business school programs across the country giving you more opportunities for your future.

 Three new changes have been introduced in the test:

  1. The all new ScoreSelect option allows candidates to decide which GRE scores to send to their institutions of choice. This positive step has boosted the morale of students while approaching the test day
  2. Now one can take GRE revised test after every 30 days and up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period
  3. Lastly, the GRE® has one global price US$175 for all test takers across the world

This test is conducted in both the modes computer-based and paper-based and if you are opting for only paper-based, then you can take it as often as it is offered. Such changes provide number of opportunities and flexibility to test takers around the world.

The GRE revised General Test is available at about 700 test centers in more than 160 countries. The GRE revised test is conducted in all the major cities such as Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Trivandrum. It was introduced in August 2011 with all new features and new question types.

GRE vs GMAT

The other popular exam used as the basis of selection to management programmes across the world is Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), which is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). More than 1,500 universities and B-schools accept GMAT scores, which include about 90 business schools in India. Over 1,000 B-schools worldwide accept GRE scores, which include 10 B-schools in India. In order to simplify the admission process for business schools in India, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has allowed all management institutes affiliated to it to accept GMAT scores.

Many top-ranked MBA programs accept GRE and GMAT scores worldwide. However, GRE scores are accepted by both business schools and graduate schools while GMAT scores can only target business schools.
