Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a common written test for admission to undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International University established as under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a common written test for admission to undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International University established as under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide notification No.F.9.12/2001 U.3 of the Govt. of India. SET is scheduled to be conducted on May 4, 2013.

SET Structure and highlights:

Duration: SET duration is 150 minutes.
SET is an objective test with each question having four options(MCQ)
No negative marking for wrong answers
SET-2013 has 5 different papers; namely, General, Design, Law, Engineering and Health Sciences.
The test will be conducted in two sessions, morning and afternoon.
A candidate may take more than one paper. However, he will have to choose one paper from morning session and one paper from afternoon session
SET is conducted in two sessions for FIVE question papers. All sections are mandatory.
A candidate may apply to take one paper from each session.
Institutes: The constituent institutes use scores of the following for admission.

Eligibility for Symbiosis SET 2013 University Entrance Exam:

The HSC or any other equivalent exam or Class XII exam conducted by any Statutory Board must have been passed by the candidate and he/she must have secured at least 60% aggregate in the subjects of PCM as per the eligibility norms of Eligibility Criteria of Symbiosis SET 2013.
The minimum aggregate of 55% in PCM must be obtained according to relaxed eligibility criteria for SC/ST candidates.
The students who have obtained a valid score in the exams like JEE Main 2013, JEE Advanced 2013 and MHTCET 2013 will also be eligible under Eligibility Criteria of Symbiosis SET 2013.
