Math is probably the most common subject that high school and college students struggle with. While math can be difficult for some people, there is always a way to overcome this difficulty and since the subject is considered essential in both high school and college, there is no way to get rid of it. GET A TUTOR

This may seem like common sense but a surprising number of students struggle in math and do not hire a tutor. Meet a few candidates and choose a tutor who is both knowledgeable and easy to get along with. Give it a month or two and if you do not have a significantly better understanding of the material, consider hiring a new tutor.

PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS

It is very normal to lose attention in the class when you are confused, bored or overwhelmed. Try to listen to every word and write down as many notes as possible. When you find yourself drifting off, refocus and try to catch up. If you are lost just keep listening until you catch up. If you try your best to listen but the teacher is not making any sense at all, you might want to consider spending many more hours with your tutor.

ASK FOR HELP

Most teachers are very happy to stay after class, or meet during their office hours, and help their students. Even if you have a great tutor, it is a good idea to seek extra support from your teacher since he/she is the one who knows more about the exam pattern.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
