Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) exam on October 20, 2013. The exam is taken by aspirants aiming for recruitment to the Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces (CPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Eligibility:
- Aspirants must possess a degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
- Candidates before appearing in the exam should submit proof of passing along with the detailed application forms which are to be submitted after qualifying the written test, medical standards test and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET).
Exam/paper pattern:
The exam encompasses 2 papers:
- Paper 1: Paper I consist of objective type questions worth 250 marks. It includes questions from general ability and intelligence
- Paper 2: Paper II is conventional type and includes essay, precis writing and comprehension worth 150 marks
