UPSC Indian Economic Service Examination
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting an entrance examination for recruitment to the Grade IV officers for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) and Indian Economic Service (IES).The Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service (IES/ISS) examination is scheduled to be conducted on November 9, 2013.
Eligibility:
| For Indian Economic Service |
Post Graduate Degree from a recognised university in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics. |
| For Indian Statistical Service |
Post graduate degree from an Indian university in Statistics/Applied Statistics/Mathematical Statistics. |
| Candidates appearing in qualifying degree exams are also eligible provisionally subject to producing proof of passing along with detailed application form. |

| Age limit: 21-30 years on 1st January of the year of Examination |

Exam structure:
This exam is spread over 2 sections:
- Section 1: Includes written examination
- Section 2: Includes interview for personality test
Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service examination will be of 1000 marks each.
