UPSC – Indian Forest Service Examination
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the examination schedule for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination which will be conducted from October 3-12, 2013. The exams will be conducted in two sessions:
- Morning : 9.30 am - 12.30 pm
- Afternoon : 2 pm - 5 pm
Exam pattern:

Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional subjects set (given below). Each subject will have two papers. |

- Agricultural Engineering
- Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
- Botany
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Forestry
- Geology
- Mathematics
- Mechanical Engineering
- Physics
- Statistics
- Zoology
Students will not be allowed to choose the following combination of subjects:
- Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering.
- Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
- Agriculture and Forestry.
- Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
- Mathematics and Statistics.
- Of the Engineering subjects viz. Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering- not more than one subject;
