XAT 2014 exam being conducted today at more than 40 centres

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2014 is being conducted today, on January 5 (Sunday), in more than 40 centres across the country. Shiksha.com correspondents decided to catch up with the test takers at one centre in Noida. By 9:30 am, about 200-220 candidates have accumulated at the centre amidst the foggy weather conditions. According to information, the centre will host more than 500 candidates. Some students are still putting in their last minute preparation, while some are seen chatting around. The seating plan has been put up, clearly and in bold for students to see and refer on the main gate.
Several of the candidates Shiksha spoke to have appeared for at least two more exams in this management season. The results of MAT (December) and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) are already out. “I got a call from BITMECH on the basis of MAT December score in Retail and Sustainable Development,” says Shivam Beniwal, a fresh engineering pass-out. His sole focus is XAT and he hopes to crack it in the first go.
XAT is 3 hours examination, that will cover:
- Verbal and Logical Ability
- Decision Making
- Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
- General Knowledge
