IIT-Delhi to launch five-year integrated BTech-MBA degree
The Department of Management Studies (DMS), Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi (IIT-D) has decided to launch a five year integrated Bachelors of Technology (BTech) – Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme from upcoming academic year. This was announced by Dr Kanika Bahl, Head of Management Studies, IIT-D. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Indore has a similar five year BBA+MBA integrated programme in management. Know more about it. The industry is yet to observe the first batch, which will graduate in 2016.
At present, DMS offers three MBA programmes:
- MBA with Focus on Management Systems (91 seats)
- MBA with Focus on Telecommunication Systems Management (24 seats)
- MBA (Part-Time) with Focus on Technology Management (60 seats)
“We do hope to have international collaborations for this initiative,” said Bahl. The institute is in talks are on to send students to US, Asia and Europe. “In the US we are in discussions with Wharton, Harvard, MIT Sloans etc,” she added.
