University of Liverpool has already received a letter of approval from Union Ministry of Education to establish its campus in Bengaluru. 

• UGC has also granted permission to progress with proposals to the next stage, meaning Bengaluru would soon be welcomed into Lancaster University’s campus.
• University of New South Wales (UNSW) is set to open its Bengaluru campus at Manyata Tech Park in August, offering same curriculum as parent institution. 

As per media reports, several Australian universities have expressed interest in opening overseas campuses in Bengaluru. Also, La Trobe University recently received approval, Western Sydney University has also confirmed it will open a campus, focusing on agriculture

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presided over Letter of Intent (LoI) handover ceremony to University of Liverpool. The University completed required academic, infrastructure and regulatory preparations. It has now been granted LoA to commence operations in India.

As per update on official website, for CBSE students, average marks are calculated using English or Hindi and the best four remaining subjects. If marks are given as a range, midpoint is considered. Check minimum entry requirements

For undergraduate applications: Full time applications must be submitted through UCAS website. They need to provide personal details, academic qualifications, references and a personal statement. They must also have 

• Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Class 12th): 75% to 87% average in best four subjects (excluding Hindi and Physical Education).

For Postgraduate Admissions

Requirements vary by course. Equivalent Indian bachelor’s degree requirements

• First Class: 70% to 85%

• Upper Second Class (2:1): 60% to 80%

• Lower Second Class (2:2): 55% to 75%
