    M.Sc. in Biochemistry - Batch of 2025

    Good college for M.Sc. biochemistry.
Placements: About 75% of students get placements after doing M.Sc. Biochemistry course. The highest package is 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. Average package is 3 LPA. Students get jobs in various pharmaceutical companies like Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Cipla, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Lupin, Aurobindo Pharma, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure here is very good. There is a large well-equipped lab available for practical classes. Classrooms are also very big and well-maintained. College has a library where all kinds of books can be accessed for free. There are hostel facilities here. There is a canteen where food is available at very low prices. There are also medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are all very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also very good. All are experienced teachers. This course is absolutely curriculum relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are a bit difficult, and you have to study hard to pass. The pass percentage is 40% for each subject.

Best place to improve confidence and communication.
Placements: Few percentages of students were placed in the college as per the course. The highest package is nearly INR 3 Lacs, the average is INR 2 Lacs. Some of the companies were TCS off-campus. Many internships and projects were done. Roles like a lecturer, programmer, etc. are offered.
Infrastructure: As per the facilities, library with Wi-Fi, sports club, grounds, canteen as per vegetarians, perfect labs available. As per quality, everything is good with a decent price for canteen items, stationery available, and the hostel is not available on campus, but outside you can live.
Faculty: All the teachers are much more qualified and experts in their subjects and are available for any type of subject concerns. As per the teaching quality, a lot of different ways such as seminars, projects, presentations, competitions are available. Course subjects are good and also scoring is good.
Other: A lot of events, sports, and other facilities are available for students. No pressure is there on the student. Overall, it is good.

It is a good college for learning and also making friends.
Placements: 70% of students were placed, and a few went for off-campus placements. The highest package offered is nearly 3.5 LPA, the average package is 2.5 LPA, and the lowest package is difficult to say. TCS, Bhavans College, etc., came here. Few students have done projects with Tech Mahindra, DRDO and others. Trainee, associate, lecturer, etc., roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is good. We don't have hostel facilities, but one can find a hostel nearby. Good sources of internet, canteen, labs, classrooms, and a great library are available. A lot of sports facilities are available, including a gym.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful to students. They are a great source of knowledge and have a unique teaching style. It depends on the students how they study. A lot of certification and learning courses are available for students. Students can also teach others if they are pro in a particular subject, and they get paid for that too.
Other: I wrote the state exam OUCET and got a seat in this college. The fee is good comparatively. The location is good and peaceful. The teachers include students in their research projects. A lot of events and fests are held here.

    M.Sc. in Biochemistry - Batch of 2017

Review of Bhavan's Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities and Commerce.
Placements: No one got placed from our batch in the year 2017 as no company came forward for the campus placements. Management was the worst during that time, mainly the HOD. Only Genpact company has visited the college for placements and the role offered was as BPO customer executive. The salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. Only 2% of the students got an internship in Thomson Reuters.
Infrastructure: There was only 1 classroom for both the year students, i.e., 1st year PG students & 2nd year PG students. The college lacks in the quality of labs and infrastructure. The canteen was good and even the playground, but we didn't get many opportunities to involve in sports. Neither medical facilities nor hostel facilities were available in the college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were qualified, but they lack general knowledge on how to educate the students, especially the HOD. Biochemistry is a great course, but studying in this college should make no sense as they won't properly guide you on how to start your career neither the college provided career-building classes.
Other: I opted for the course because I was interested in biochemistry, and the best thing is biochemistry covers the entire life sciences. Biochemistry is like a mixture of all as it won't deal with a particular technology or a particular subject. It deals with everything (that is the problem).

Review of Bhavan's Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities and Commerce.
Placements: The college didn't provide any placement opportunities for the students of our batch and our senior batch. The college allowed us to do internships with prior permission. The placement cell works mostly for undergraduate students and the students of arts courses.
Infrastructure: The campus is huge with many blocks. The classrooms are spacious, and the college provides high security for the students. There are a few auditoriums to organise events. The sports facilities are good. There is a canteen, but it is not well-maintained. There is a stationary store on the campus. The library is very good.
Faculty: The faculty members are really good and well-qualified. All the faculty members are helpful, and the quality of education is really good. They teach by using practical examples, and the curriculum is designed by Osmania University. The college organises many industrial visits and guest lectures.

Everyone will like the college once they step in with amazing faculty .
Placements: A lot of companies offered jobs to students studying in Bhavans College. Top companies like Deloitte, Amazon, etc have visited our college and recruited our students. Even for life sciences students, some of the companies showed an interest. The package is about 3.5 LPA and the lowest package was 1.8 LPA. Roles like analyst, technical assistants, telecallers, etc are the key roles offered to our students.
Infrastructure: As our campus is 55 acre. We have different blocks for different courses. We have a huge library where students can find books of their choice. Labs are well-equipped even for life sciences. Classrooms are very good but Wi-Fi is unavailable for students. Sports are encouraged well in our college.
Faculty: Each and every faculty member has a masters degree. Most of them are having PhD in their respective subjects while some of them are even pursuing now. The teaching experience of faculty members is not less than 10 years. They take to certain industrial visits and make us do projects by guiding us in the correct manner. The curriculum is set according to the syllabus and adjusted when there is a holiday.
Other: Our college will encourage all the talents from their students. NSS and NCC are there for the students who are interested. Every day, a prayer is done and is mandatory for each and every student to attend it. There is parking facility available for two wheelers and four wheelers accordingly. Grounds are available for football, volleyball and throwball and a gymnasium is also available for students who are interested.
