1) T.A Pai Management Institute - The fee is Rs 14 lakhs for PGDM. Average placement package is Rs 12.6 lakhs per annum.
Highlights: This campus has a tie-up with Acquarie University, School of Management, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok and Sheffield Hallam University, UK for student exchange activities.
2) Goa Institute of Management: The fees is Rs 13.85 lakhs for PGDM. Ranked 24th best B-School for management education by Business Today. Average placement package is Rs 9.85 lakhs per annum in 2016.
Highlights: This campus has a tie-up with the University of Antwerp, Alliance Francaise de Goa for student and faculty exchange program.
Comparing both the above colleges there not much of difference between T.A Pai and GIM.
From the student's point of view and opinion, GIM has a very calm and lovely atmosphere for education.

Yes, you can apply to both. The cut offs are not the same. HCM has profile based selection.
