{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur: Good for B.E./B.Tech? Here's a summary of the pros and cons based on feedback from students and alumni:Pros:* Well-qualified faculty: Many teachers hold PhDs and are knowledgeable in their fields.* Good library resources: The library has over 20,000 books and a comfortable reading room.* Excellent infrastructure: The college has modern labs, classrooms, and a large playground for sports.* Supportive teachers: Faculty members are willing to help students with their studies and provide guidance for placements.* Low fees: Fees are relatively affordable, especially for those with good marks in CET or with reservations.* Scholarship options: The college offers scholarships to meritorious students and those from minority backgrounds.Cons:* Limited placements: Placements are limited, especially for non-core branches like Civil Engineering.* Lack of industry exposure: The curriculum may not be fully relevant to current industry requirements, making it challenging for students to find placements.* Old infrastructure: While the college is renovating, some buildings and facilities may still be outdated.* Poor internet connectivity: Wi-Fi is only available in certain areas, and sometimes the connection is weak.* Limited internship opportunities: While some students have secured internships, these opportunities may be scarce.Overall, the Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur seems like a good choice for students who prioritize affordability and a strong educational foundation. However, students seeking guaranteed placements or extensive industry connections might need to consider alternative options.
