Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2021

Our college and faculty members are good, but the location and infrastructure are not good.
Placements: Placements are average. Only CS and ECE students got most of the placements. For MOM and SP branches and PGDCA, placements are not much.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not that good, and there are many issues. The hostel is only allotted for 1st-year boys, but the girls' hostel is allocated for all the years students.
Faculty: All the faculty members are very good. Semester exams are tough, but the pass percentage is dependent on students.
Other: I am interested in this course, so I have selected this. The building has to be renovated and repainted, and some furniture has to be changed. Only 1 fest is held, which is annual games.

It is a good college for CSE engineering.
Placements: During our tenure, our batch got full with admissions in both shifts. I think the shifts provided by our college are the best thing for the working students. None of the companies visit our college because there is no such placement facility. However, our batchmates noted names for external interviews by our own choice. Many of us got selected in BPOs.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is classic and is open to roam anywhere. The entire campus has a lush green atmosphere because the campus is covered with trees, etc. Labs are good and well-equipped, but all students can't do experiments at the same time. Facilities are good.
Faculty: There is a good support of the teachers to the students. The examination scenario is also great and good. It also provides us with an environment for students to perform great in examinations. It is useful for scoring marks.
Other: Every year, our college organises an annual sports fest, and many other curricular activities and workshops. Students every year get scholarships and pocket money from the state government of UP.

If students take electronics, then they get a benefit here.
Placements: However, when it comes to placements, most of the placement opportunities are mainly for electronics students. Students from computer science and other branches do not get much placement support from the college. They usually have to find jobs on their own after completing the course.
Infrastructure: The college campus is quite old and needs renovation. Though the basic infrastructure is available, maintenance is not up to the mark. Labs are present, but many machines or systems don't work properly. The hostel facility is available, but only for first-year boys, and there is a separate hostel for girls. Hostel conditions are average and can be improved.
Faculty: Classes are mainly conducted for electronics students. For computer Science students, classes are irregular, and attendance is very low. Faculty members for Electronics are good and supportive, but for CS students, the academic environment is not very active.
Other: There is good support for electronics branch students. It provides affordable education under a government institute.

Our college celebrates a good annual sports day.
Placements: During our tenure, our batch got full with admissions in both shifts. I think the shifts provided by our college is the best thing for the working students. None of the companies visits our college because there is no such placement facility. However, our batchmates noted names for external interviews by our own choice. Many of us got selected in BPOs.

Faculty: Teachers here are really helpful and always ready to help students. Electronics is a futuristic course. But as of now, it is not providing jobs in the government sector, but in future, there will be jobs surely as technology is evolving more. Semesters exams are moderate to pass, even though there are chances of backlogs in few subjects.

Review of Government Polytechnic, Saharanpur.
Placements: Our college has no plan for recruitment, and about 90% of students always remain to get placed in any organisation. Roles like calling and customer service are offered to the students. There is no placement scenario on the campus.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is good to stay. But the problem of electricity remains the same every year, and no one looks after the problems which students are facing in the hostel. In the hostel, the environment is great and useful for studies, but electricity is the problem.
Faculty: There is a good support of the teachers and faculty members to the students. The examination scenario is also great. It also provides us with such an environment for the students to perform great in examinations. It is useful for scoring marks.
