Among engineering colleges in India, LJ Institute of Engineering and Technology (LJIET) is generally considered to be a Tier 2 institute. Established in 2007, the private college is affiliated to the Gujarat Technical University (GTU). Though it offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs including MBA, its prestige and status does not carry it into the Tier 1 category, which typically includes institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) . and of National Institutes of Technology (NITs). they are recognised for their high academic standards and excellent recruitment records.LGIET has a decent track record of placement and infrastructure but is often compared to other regional colleges, solidifying its Tier-2 classification in the broader engineering education landscape in India.

Admission to LJ Institute of Engineering and Technology is generally based on entrance exams and academic performance. The process is competitive, but it can be less stringent compared to some of the more prestigious engineering colleges. Typically, you would need to qualify in state-level entrance exams like GUJCET or national exams like JEE Main, and your performance in these exams will play a significant role in securing a spot. The level of competition can vary depending on the branch of engineering you are interested in and the number of applicants in a given year. Overall, while admission may be less competitive compared to top-tier institutions, a strong entrance exam score and good academic performance will significantly improve your chances.

Thus, the competition to gain admission for the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), AKTU is average. As per the requirement of the institute the students should have passed 10+2 examination and must have scored 50% marks in physics chemistry and mathematics. Counselling and qualification examination score are the two major factors behind the admission with Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (U. P. S. E. ) Rank being given priority importance. For some of the programs, it is also possible to apply for direct admission and this is on merit. The institute receives a lot of applications, thus, mere meeting of the eligibility criteria does not mean that one will be admitted. But, a good rank in UPSEE or a brilliant academic performance can make a candidate secure an admission to the programme of his or her choice easily.
