For people who are opting for finance there's a wide scope as we have core specialization on Finance and there are specialized labs provided for Finance students which helps you to gain more practical aspect. We have Prabhudas Liladher Finance Lab, Centre for Excellence in Banking, NSE tie-up, IBM Business Analytics Lab which enhances your practical knowledge and we also have The Bloomberg Terminal which assists users to can monitor and analyze real-time financial market data and place trades on the electronic trading platform. You'll also have case studies which exposes you to practical knowledge along with many live projects.
The selection process will followed up by a GD and a personal interview. Prepare the current affairs thoroughly, get yourself updated and try and focus on what you actually want to do in terms of career progression, it might be a little difficult initially but give it a thought. I don't think that will effect your admission provided you have a good score in competitive exam and above 60% in your academics. I am sure you have a reason for that arrear but keep in mind not to repeat it.
I suggest you to take care of your academics in PGDM, make sure you have a decent CGPA of 6 and above. So that you can sit for placements.

IFIM is most famous for PGDM FINANCE. I am sure you will not regret it provided you work for it. Faculty of Finance are good and visiting faculties from industry teach few subjects. Placements for finance are good. Companies like Copal Amba , Deloitte, ICICI securities etc come for placements. Campus is located in the heart of electronic city where different companies like Infosys, 3M, Wipro etc are located.

PGDM marketing is good at IFIM. We have Industry experienced faculty so they help us in understanding the concepts much better by sharing their experience and giving practice knowledge. I am honestly saying that college will bring companies, no doubt about it. It's we who have to work for our placements and always keep updated. Faculty at IFIM are good. As they have industry experience, they share more practical knowledge related to the subject. They are interactive and supportive.
Staring salary may differ from person to person. I would say it you who have to brand yourself and impress the interviewer. If you have the required skill set I am sure you will excel in your work.

IFIM Business School is located in the heart of Electronic city In Bangalore. Electronic City is an Industrial Area.
It offers PGDM-Finance , PGDM General and PGDM International Business. In General you can choose to specialize in finance, marketing, HR, operations , Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is a new course which was introduced this year.
Hostel is 5Km far from college. For 6 months incase of a double occupancy it's Rs.60,000 & single occupancy is Rs.67,500. It includes accommodation and food.
