B.Sc. in Home Science - Batch of 2026
4.4

Overall, my college is good for studying and for participating in extracurricular activities.
Placements: In my course, there are 43 students in my class. There is no internship at the undergraduate level, but there is an internship opportunity at the postgraduate level where we work in hospitals as nutritionists or dietitians. In my course, we study various kinds of nutritional foods and calculate RDA. In the second semester, we study pregnancy and child development. There are also many creative subjects to study in other semesters.
Infrastructure: There are also many facilities available in my course. There is free Wi-Fi for students and a large library with over 22,000 books. We also have a Chemistry lab, Zoology lab, and a nutritional lab where we can cook and eat food, which includes a fridge. In our hostel, the facilities are good, and I would rate the food 3 out of 5—it's slightly above average. In terms of sports facilities, we have an indoor stadium where we can play badminton, kabaddi, table tennis, etc. There is also a large ground for outdoor sports, and a gym available for everyone. Medical facilities are also available; we have a sick room where students who don't feel well can rest.
Faculty: Talking about academic excellence, I believe it is much better than in other places. The teachers are really friendly and excellent at teaching; they give their maximum effort to help us clear our semester exams. The semester exams are not very easy; if we don't study well, it's not easy to pass. However, if we study, it's not too difficult—almost all students in my class pass the semester exams, with only 3 or 4 students failing in some subjects.
Other: I chose this course because it's quite different. When I first heard about it, I felt like I wanted to join because it seemed very interesting to study. We can relate the things happening around us to our studies.
